Trip to North Carolina

Campbell looks just like Pop!

Campbell's new trick... Trying to smile while sucking his lower lip

Cooper, Campbell, and I took a trip to see my Grandparents in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We had a great time with lots of R&R ! It was so great getting to spend time with Granny and Pop! Campbell was crazy about Granny... she made him laugh like I've never heard him laugh before!

Happy Anniversary!

A year ago today Cooper and I got married in the Virgin Islands. Long story short, we were suppose to be in Cabo San Lucas, but someone's (aka Cooper) passport had expired. We didn't realize it had expired until we got to the Memphis airport the morning we were to fly down to Mexico. So, after a little Starbucks coffee and some replanning, we ended up in the Virgin Islands. We arrived on a Monday, I talked to a wedding planner on Tuesday and she planned a wedding for Wednesday! Cooper took a bus to the beach about 530 that afternoon. The wedding planner picked me up at 545... and I was walking down the flower petaled isle at 6. We were finishd with the wedding by 645 (including ceremony, pictures and even cake) and at a local restaurant by 7!  I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and rememberable wedding. We even made the local newspaper with our story.

This year has flown by, but it has been amazing! I'm so blessed to have Cooper in my life.... and now little Campbell. Here's to many more years with you, Coop! I love you!
Here are a few pictures from our special day!

Bad Daughter!

I am officially a bad daughter.. While I was late telling my Mom Happy Birthday, I am even later giving her a birthday blog shout out! While I know nothing can make up for me being a bad daughter... Campbell thought he might could help me get out of the doghouse. This was all Campbell's idea.. I think he may have stolen the idea from Elizabeth Beasley!  Happy Birthday, Mom! I love you and I am so lucky to have you! Hope you had a great day and you have many more to come!

Story Time

Last night while I was cleaning the kitchen, I asked Coop to read Campbell a book. He asked me if he could ready any book. Not thinking..... I told him there were a few to choose from on the table. Meaning.... The Big Red Barn, Goodnight Moon or Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See. A few minutes later I hear Cooper saying, "This is a red tractor, it's called a Case. This one is green and it's called a John Deere. This one is blue and it's called a Kabota." Yep, Cooper was reading him the tractor sales magazine! He was describing all the tractors and the different perks about each one. I guess it was pretty educational, since Camp was learning colors and what a tractor actually is. Cooper will have him driving a tractor before he can walk!

Camp and Carly

My cousin Jordan and his wife Kitty came through Saturday on their way to Syracuse, New York. They are moving from San Antonio to New York. I can't imagine making that drive with a little one! These are the great grandchildren on my mom's side of the family. Carly make Campbell look like a giant! She is three weeks old and may weigh 7 and a half pounds. She was teeny tiny and precious. Campbell may have been that small when he was born!

No More Gummy Grins!

That's right... No more grins just showing the gums! Campbell has a tooth! Of course you can't see it here... I just like the picture. He must have cut the tooth Friday night. He loves to suck my fingers, so I stuck mine in his mouth and he bit down... Let's just say it hurt. I immediately flipped on the light and started digging in his mouth to see. Sure enough, there was a little white dot. I contemplated waking up Coop to show him, but I held off until it was day light.
My mother swears she has done her research and babies that cut teeth early are early readers. Sounds crazy to me... but she is the school teacher and might know a little more than me. So we have started reading books and Campbell gets so excited!

Seems like all the pictures I take of Camp he is sitting in this very spot.
