After much deliberation, we finally decided on Joseph Campbell Callaway. Poor kid left the hospital last Friday with no name.
We had to go back this passed Tuesday for a check up and to sign the birth certificate. We were down to the last second naming him! Campbell had gained two ounces, after loosing 8 while in the hospital. He is doing really well! I'll post some more pictures when we get them loaded onto the computer!
This was Campbell's first expression when the doctor held him up to show him to me!
All the grandparents checking out Campbell.
Proud Daddy!

Look Who is Here!
Little Callway came into the world Friday morning at 10:36. Lets just say he is truly a little miracle man! When he arrived he had the umbilical chord wrapped around his neck not once, not twice or three times, but FOUR times! He also had managed to tie a knot in the chord as well! Dr. said we were pretty lucky to have him. His heart rate never dropped while it was being measured the night before so there were no signs of any trouble.
After having kidney stones and going through labor, I would rather birth ten kids (assuming I could have the labor I did) than pass a kidney stone! I had a really easy labor! They were going to induce Friday morning but the cervidil sent me into labor about 4:30 that morning! I hit close to four and they gave me the epidural, skipped four, five, and six and went straight to seven. Cooper had gone shopping and I sent him a text that said "7cm". About that time the nurse came in and said "Where's Cooper?" I told her he was shopping. She said you better call him because we are about to have a baby. This was all about 9:15. Cooper showed up about 9:40 and by 10:36 we had a baby! He weighed 7lbs 14 oz and was 20 in long! We are pretty close to deciding on a name, I'll update more pics with a name later!

Friday is the day!!
Nothing has changed, but since we are getting close to the due date, we are going to induce Friday morning. My doctor didn't want let me go over more than ten days ( that would be Tuesday). So we are going in tomorrow night and will have little "no name Callaway" some time on Friday! I'm super excited! I haven't seen Cooper today, but I'm sure he hasn't quit smiling yet! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

Update....
Well it looks like my due date is going to come and go without leaving a baby. I have dilated a little more, but not quite enough. Anything is a little progress though. I had a sonogram on Friday, which was fun as always. Getting to see him always makes me feel better. He was looking good! Everything is fully developed! He has some chubby cheeks and full lips! He was weighing about 6lbs and 8oz, give or take a few ounces. Six pounds and 8 ounces sure does sound good to me! The further along you are in the pregnancy the less accurate the sonograms become. Everything was measuring about 37 weeks, but like I said that's not 100 percent accurate. He may just be a small baby! He had the hiccups while we were checking everything, it was so sweet watching him! He was positioned head down and has started to drop a little! Finally we are seeing a little more progress! I go back on Wednesday (if not before) for another check up. If I'm dilated a little more we will plan to induce on Friday or Saturday. Cooper is out of days off until Friday and he is working in Grenada on Wednesday. I'm hoping she doesn't decide to induce on Wednesday. I would really like for Cooper to be there and I know he would as well! So, I'm praying I can hold out until at least Friday. I know I really have no say so as to when he comes and as long as he healthy it really doesn't matter to me!

Jesus is Better Than Santa
I received this in an email and I thought it was pretty interesting. It's so easy for us to get caught up in the holiday season and forget what Christmas is really all about. Enjoy!
Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas

Nothing is Happening!
Still no change. He is just not ready to come out yet. Maybe he is waiting on Cooper and me to come up with a name! If that's the case, he may be in there a while longer. Everything is still looking good, I"m just getting anxious. I go back on Friday for a sonogram to double check his size and the dates. Just by feeling him, the doc said he is probably weighing about 7 1/2 pounds now. Hopefully he won't be a monster baby! If anything has changed on Friday, she said we would for sure induce Monday. I'm not even getting my hopes up though. I wish the doctor had never told me once we reached one centimeter we could pick a day. My hopes have been up for 4 weeks now, so it's just getting frustrating when I hear "you're just not doing anything"! I would honestly rather go over my due date by two weeks than have to have a c section. Dr. said her maximum she would let me go over was 10 days, then we have to have a baby. After 41 1/2 weeks they start to worry about the placenta not supplying enough blood or loosing fluid. Wish she hadn't told me that either, I don't need anything else to stress out about. She wasn't worried about any of that right now because I am measuring right on time and first babies tend to be a little stubborn. All I can do is prop my cankles up and just wait!

I had to share this picture of the sunrise. It was even more beautiful than the one I previously posted! Cooper really enjoys watching the sun come up each morning. Anytime there is a really distinct sunrise we have to take a picture of it!

The Nursery is Complete!
I was standing in the doorway trying to take the picture because his room is so small. I wanted to capture everything! For the most part, the room is complete. It still could use some more wall hangings and I haven't decided about curtains yet.
I had to get a close up of the stuffed deer. It goes perfect in his room and I thought it was so cute! Thanks Paige!

No Change.... Yet
My hopes of the planned arrival of Baby Callaway were shot down this morning. I just had my hopes up, but nothing has changed yet. I still have 13 days left. The doctor said that until we hit at least one centimeter we couldn't even discuss inducing. I was a little bummed out at first, but apparently the little one just isn't ready to come into the word yet. He will when he is ready and i shouldn't be so pushy! The excitement is just overwhelming and I'm ready to meet the little kickboxer! I know all of you women who have been pregnant before sense my feeling of impatience. So, until he is ready, I will be try to be patient! We want him to be as healthy as possible and I know the longer he bakes the healthier he will be!
