136 Days to Go..

I am a little over half way there. The first twenty weeks have really flown by fast. I know when summer gets here and it gets hot, I will be miserable. Other than being a little tired some days, I feel great. I'm not the cute pregnant type, I get big all over. I'm definitely getting a tummy, but to some it my look like I've just eaten too many cookies. Blah. It's so worth it and I have the knowledge of how to loose it after she gets here. I did give up fried chicken for lent... maybe that will help keep the weight down, but only for another week and a half. Fried chicken and ranch dressing were two of my cravings when I was pregnant with Campbell. This time around I've been craving avocados and salad. Which is great, but that's not all I eat.

Baby girl is getting active and it's mostly at night. I don't think she is nearly as active as Campbell was. I don't think anything is wrong, I just think Campbell was overactive! He had the chord wrapped around his neck four times and it was tied in a knot.. so yeah, I think he was very overactive! Cooper has decided our name choice is up for debate and he has me wondering too. I don't want her to be called "CJ". If she is anything like her mother, she will politely correct people who call her "CJ". I grew up saying "It's Emily Anne not Emily". I am keeping our other name locked in a safe. It's very different and I have never ever met anyone, male or female, with this name. As for now, I'm still calling her Carter and Cooper is calling her something different. I'm really ready to start monogramming, but we don't really have room for anything yet. Mom bought her some outfits and goodies and I made her take them back home with her because we don't have room for one more thing in this house. Poor thing might not even have a room when she gets here. We do not have any storage space. Our house is a true bachelor pad. My closet is in Campbell's room. Campbell's closet is the curtain rod and tupperware boxes. We are debating on adding on or moving into town. I'm for adding on, but we shall see.

Poor Baby

Cooper, Campbell and I went to the beach last Wednesday for a much needed vacation. We arrived around 6pm that afternoon. We left about 7 am Friday morning. Campbell didn't go to sleep either night until midnight! His normal bed time is 8:30. First night we thought it was just because he was in a new environment. Second night he started coughing and wheezing a good bit. Cooper had to drive him around to get him to sleep. After two nights of hardly any sleep we packed up and headed home. He was pretty pitiful Friday morning.. running fever and just not himself. We met the Pediatrician Friday afternoon... just a viral infection. So, we got a breathing machine and did the treatments twice a day over the weekend. Monday morning he wasn't any better. Off to the Pediatrician again. Little man has RSV and an ear infection. Now we are doing breathing treatments four times a day. He has gotten used to treatments, but still isn't real crazy about them. Just as a precautionary, I can't give him his treatments. We aren't sure of the side effects of the solution and pregnancy. Cooper is giving him his morning and night time treatments and BeBe comes over and gives him is other two treatments during the day!

This is what we get to do four times a day!

Its A....

GIRL!!!
Well I guess the drano and the Intelligender tests were correct! It's a healthy little girl! God is so amazing!! Everything looked perfect. She even acted a little stubborn! I can't imagine where she would get that?? I would say her Daddy, but I'm sure he would say me! We are super excited. Believe it or not, she already has a name... Carter Jean Callaway. We'll call her Carter. Carter was my great grandmother's maiden name and Jean is after Cooper's aunt!

Could it be?

After reading Keely's blog, I decided I would try this as well. The result was GIRL! I've been feeling like it was a girl, but I still won't believe it until I see it. I also thought Campbell was a girl... I just think I just thought that, I didn't really feel like he was a girl. This pregnancy just feels different all together.

We also tried the Drano test. We did this test with Campbell and it was accurate. This one also said GIRL! Like I said, I will believe it when I see it. We have a friend who did the Drano test with all three of there kids and it was accurate also.

We will find out the positive result on Wednesday! Healthy is all I ask for. We do have a name picked out if it's a girl. We have no clue if it's a boy. If it's a boy, I promise he will have a name before he comes home from the hospital! I'm ready to start monogramming!

"More" and "Diaper Change"

Cooper and I have started working on sign language with Campbell. He is a quick learner. We started it when he was about 7 months old and we ended up tossing in the towel. We just recently started showing him the sign for "more". Cooper was eating yogurt one morning and asked Campbell if he wanted more, while showing him the sign. Surprisingly, Campbell smiled and did it back.. Then clapped while we cheered! He will now show us the sign if he wants more food! I have also been working on the sign for "diaper change". He picked this one up pretty quick also. I can just show him the sign and not say anything... and off to his bedroom he goes checking behind him to see if I'm coming to change him. If he has a dirty diaper, he will walk up to me and show me the sign. We are working on "thank you". I know he only knows a few signs, but it's so nice to know what he wants. I'm planning on continuing to teach him sign language. Kids get so frustrated because they can't communicate with us. Teaching them sign language helps... at least that's what the books tell me!
